McGinnis Woods School Teacher and Daughter Make Face Masks
McGinnis Woods School Teacher makes masks for front line workers.
During the typical school year, Ms. Nicole uses her creativity and excellent sewing skills to create whimsical costumes for our annual school musical. This year the students had been preparing for Opening Night of Aladdin and the costumes, which never fail to amaze, were well under way... but this has not been a typical year! Once we transitioned to our remote learning platform, Ms. Nicole and her daughter Rebecca teamed up to use scraps of fabric and an approved online pattern to create hundreds of face masks for healthcare professionals and frontline workers in need of personal protective equipment. The face masks were delivered to Emory Hospital Johns Creek and the Publix at the Villages of Flynn Crossing along with treats and notes of thanks from McGinnis Woods students. We are so thankful to have teachers like Ms. Nicole lead by example as we care for our community.
