An Alpharetta-based company has been named a finalist for the Technology Association of Georgia's 2013 Excalibur Awards.
McKesson Corporation, which operates McKesson Technology Solutions in Alpharetta, is a finalist for the award in the large company category.
TAG recognizes and promotes the advancement of the states's technology industry.

The association's awards recognizes companies and organizations that "demonstrate the best use of technology, typically provided by a third-party, to solve complex issues and processes in business and education," according to its press release.
Along with McKesson, UPS in Sandy Springs and World Financial Group in Johns Creek were also named finalists in the large and mid-sized company categories, respectively.

Winners will be chosen during an Oct. 18 ceremony at Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Cobb County.
