Milton Actress to Star in Ruthless! at Act3 Playhouse

Act3 Productions in Sandy Springs will open its 2015-16 season with Ruthless! September 18 through October 3 at Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza, 6285-R Roswell Road.  The show is a comic romp through the worlds of Broadway, parenting, child acting, and blind ambition.  Tickets are available at www.act3productions.org.

Described as “the stage mother of all musicals,” Ruthless!, with book and lyrics by Joel Paley and music by Norman Laird, ran off-Broadway in 1992 and was revived this summer. The show is a spoof on musicals, such as Gypsy and Mame, classic films like The Bad Seed and All About Eve.

Rosslyn plays the role of child star wannabe Tina Denmark.  She shares the role with Sarah Carroll, of Cumming.  Rosslyn has been in several productions at Act3, including Once on this Island (Little Timoune), for which she won the 2011 Youth Award at the Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards.  She has also performed in the Theater of the Stars production of The King and I at the Fox Theater and she dances competitively.  (Rosslyn’s performance dates for Ruthless! are:  September 18, 25, 27 and October 3.)
