Milton Boy Scout Troop Organizes Community Recycling, Shredding Event
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Birmingham United Methodist Church in Milton.

Milton residents have one more day to prepare for Boy Scout Troop 3000’s Community Recycling and Shredding Day.
The organization will hold the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Birmingham United Methodist Church, which is located at 15570 Birmingham Highway.
Materials that will be accepted at no charge include:

- Computers
- Keyboards
- Monitors (non-CRT only or there will be a charge)
- Appliances*
- Outdoor grills
- Lawn mowers*
- Scrap metal
- Cell phones
- Reusable shoes
* Fluids must be drained
Items accepted with a charge:

- $15 for televisions
- $10 for CRT monitors
- $5 per box for shredding
Cash and Checks accepted. Proceeds benefit Milton BSA Troop 3000.
Items that will not be accepted at the event:
- Paint
- Hazardous materials
- Yard waste
- Non-electronic or metal items
