Milton Business Alliance Launches "Shop Local" Campaign

The Milton Business Alliance kicked off its first 'Shop Local" program, encouraging residents to support local businesses.

The Milton Business Alliance (MBA) just kicked off its first-ever Shop Local campaign, which runs through December. Created to support businesses in the Milton community, members of the MBA were inspired by the success of events like American’s Express’s “Small Business Saturday” program.

Nineteen local companies joined forces as showcase partners in the Shop Local program, which includes advertising and community outreach to highlight locally owned firms.

“As residents gear up for holiday shopping, we wanted to remind them of the value they can find right here in the City of Milton,” explained MBA president Andy Jordan. “Our town is home to a wide variety of businesses, and more than100 entrepreneurs and community leaders who own or operate businesses here are members of the MBA.”

“Our goal is to create an environment in which both new and existing Milton businesses can thrive,” continued Jordan. “Shop Local fits perfectly with our mission by promoting local businesses, encouraging growth and offering opportunities for greater visibility.”

The Shop Local program is designed to highlight the diversity of businesses in the City of Milton. In addition to exceptional retail, dining and personal services, residents can access health care, finance, insurance, real estate and business advisors right in the community.
