Milton Celebrates Holiday Season With Tree Lighting, Pancakes

The city's first event kicks off Saturday, Nov. 26 with a tree lighting ceremony at the corner of S.R. 9 and Webb Road.

MILTON, GA -- The city of Milton will kick off the holiday season on Saturday with the first of three events.

The Milton Tree Lighting will be held in front of the Deerfield Place shopping center from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 26 at the corner of Highway 9 and Webb Road.

The tree lighting will include musical performances by the Milton High School choir, Christmas carols by candlelight, Milton’s Mayor and City Council counting down to the big moment, an appearance by Santa Claus and hot chocolate.

If you can't make Saturday's event, you are more than welcome to come out and enjoy the Christmas in Crabapple celebration. Set for 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, the ninth annual event co-hosted by the Crabapple Community Association will take place at the Broadwell Pavilion at 12615 Broadwell Road.

This holiday tradition has become a Milton staple, and features Santa photos from Blencoe and Co. Photographic Arts, caroling, s'mores, hot cocoa and fun.

Last, but not least, will be the Pancake Breakfast With Santa. The event, hosted by the Milton Fire Department, will be held from 8 a.m to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Fire Station No. 43 at 750 Hickory Flat Road.

This free event will feature Santa, pancakes cooked and served by Milton firefighters and fire station tours. Unwrapped toys for North Fulton Community Charities’ Santa Toy Drive will be accepted.
