Milton Fencing Team to Host Tournament September 23

The Milton Fencing Team will host the 2nd round of the GHSFL tournament season on Saturday, September 23

The Milton Fencing Team will host the 2nd round of the Georgia High School Fencing League (GHSFL) tournament season on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Milton HS gym. This event is free and open to the
public. Fencers from area high schools, including Milton, Cambridge, Dunwoody, North Springs, Northview, South Forsyth and Walton, will compete in Men’s épée and Women’s épée events, with the Men’s events beginning at 9:00 am, and the Women’s events following at approximately 10:30 am.

This year, the focus of the Milton Fencing Team's community service project is the North Fulton Charity's Food Pantry. The team will be collecting food and non-perishable items for this worthy cause from in the blue barrels located in the Milton High School atrium until Saturday, September 23, 2017. In addition, the team will be holding a bake sale and collecting donations at the tournament. Students, teachers, staff, and community members are encouraged to drop off items listed below. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide for families in need, and YOU can make a difference!

Most requested items: Cereal (any brand), Dried Beans: 1 lb. bags of black, red and/or white beans, Rice, Jelly (no peanut butter), Broths (please no other types of soup), Dry potatoes of all kinds, Canned beans: black, chili, wax, lima (no Great Northern or Green beans), Mac N Cheese Cups (please no boxes), Canned Meats (any kind), Pasta, Grits, Toiletries, Diapers - size 4, 5, 6 and pull ups, Adult Depends - any size.
