Milton First Responders Foundation Announces 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Charity golf event to benefit Milton First Responders.
From the Milton First Responders Foundation:
Milton, GA – What’s better than a great round of golf on a members-only course? How about enjoying your favorite passion while supporting our local police and fire personnel? And, even non-golfers can participate as a volunteer, a sponsor, or by paying for a First Responder to play for free.
Milton First Responders Foundation is excited to announce their Second Annual Golf Tournament to be held at the Crooked Creek Club (formerly Alpharetta Athletic Club East) on October 17, 2016. Featuring a Par 72 Mike Riley design that plays to 6,960 yards, the course is built on beautiful, rolling terrain that features large mature trees that frame undulating fairways and well-manicured greens. Regardless of handicap or choice of tee, the East Course is a fair test of golf. Building on last year’s success, this tournament promises to be even bigger and better featuring electronic scoring, local celebrities, coffee bar, lunch, mulligan packages, raffles, door prizes and of course awards. Players will also have a chance to meet, mingle and play with Milton city leaders, police officers and firefighters.

MFRF relies solely upon the financial support of local businesses, civic organizations and private citizens in order to meet their objectives. Both in-cash and in-kind sponsors are vital to the tournament’s success and these “Early Bird” Sponsors have already signed on and will enjoy maximum advantage of recognition on all tournament signage, printed materials and social media.
During the past year, MFRF has awarded over $16,000 in Grants, to purchase four (4) specially equipped Emergency Response Bikes for the Milton Police and Fire Departments to be used at various city events; assisted several first responders with hardship grants; and assisted in the recognition of our first responders at their annual awards banquets. MFRF also sponsored a Police vs. Fire Softball Game and Family Fun Day as a way to thank them for their service to our community.
