Milton High Football Game: Where To Park

Up to 10,000 people are expected to show, so be sure to know where to park.

From Milton PD: The City of Milton Police Department, in partnership with administrators at Cambridge High School, want to help local residents and fans plan ahead for next week's exciting rivalry game between Cambridge and Milton High School.

With as many as 10,000 football fans anticipated to attend the Friday, Sept. 1 game at Cambridge and some fans arriving as early as 5 p.m.for tailgating, city officials are warning residents to expect heavy traffic delays in this area.

"With Friday afternoon commuters and fans converging on Cogburn Road and Bethany Bend Road, we wanted to offer some detailed parking and exiting instructions to help traffic move as smoothly as possible," said Capt. Charles Barstow of the Milton Police Department.

In addition to positioning the city's digital message boards ahead of Friday's game to alert drivers of the expected traffic delays, the city is also offering the following detailed parking instructions.

  • Parents dropping off students for the game should use Cambridge's upper parking lot off of Bethany Bend Road.
  • Game night parking is available in both the Cambridge upper and lower lots and the Kings Ridge Christian School lower lot (only) located on Cogburn Road.
  • All vehicles will be required to exit right from their parking lot and police officials suggest that fans select their parking lot based on their final destination after the game.
  • The map available below provides details to help assist with selecting a parking lot.
  • Stonecreek Church is also offering fan parking for those who wish to park and walk over to the stadium.
  • Attendees should refrain from parking on the shoulders of roadways to avoid ticketing or towing.

Northbound commuters on Cogburn Road are strongly encouraged to avoid this area if possible, by taking an alternate route via Hopewell Road or Ga. Hwy 9. The suggested alternate routes may add more miles to a commute, but could help minimize traffic delays.
