Milton High Hosts 16-Team Track & Field Meet

Milton High School will play host to the Milton Track and Field Showcase on Saturday, March 2, with 16 Georgia teams visiting to compete in the meet.

The day will kick off with a special recognition for two former Milton state champions:

• Mel Cochran, shot put and discus
• Arthur Letchas, 440 yards

Field events for the 16 boys and girls teams will start at 10 a.m. with girls long jump, boys long jump, boys high jump, girls pole vault, girls discus and boys shot put.

The second session tentatively will start at 11:15 a.m., with girls and boys triple jump, girls high jump, boys pole vault and discus, and girls shot put.

Girls running events will start first, with the boys following.

Tickets will be available at the gate – Adults $5, Children under 12, $3.
