Milton High School Marching Band Awarded Silver Division Grand Champions
The Milton High School Marching Band adds another distinguished award to their trophy case.

This past Saturday, the talent on display at the McEachern Marching Band Competition was fierce however, when it was all over, one band was chosen as one of the event’s Grand Champions – The Milton High School Marching Band.
After putting on their best performance of the year, the band was also awarded trophies for First in Class Honors, Best in Division Percussion, Best in Visual, Music, and Best in General Effect. In addition to all of these awards, the MHS Marching Band also received the highest music score out of 13 bands.
“As a director, you always hope for the best run of the season at the end of the year, but the way this band achieved that tonight honestly left me speechless and I am so proud of each and every one of them,” said Chris Shumick, Milton High School’s Director of Bands.

And on November 11th, the Milton High School Marching Band will add another distinguished achievement to their accomplishments as they march in the NYC Veterans Day Parade, the oldest and largest parade of its kind in the United States. The patriotic event features more than 20,000 participants and 600,000 parade spectators.
