Milton High School Hosts Pumpkin Pops Orchestra Concert

The first-ever concert was held Oct. 19.

From The Addams Family theme song to The Phantom of the Opera, the Milton High School Orchestras performed exciting and haunting harmonies turning the auditorium into a chilling chamber of fright and delight in their first annual Pumpkin Pops Orchestra Concert last Thursday, October 19th! The evening’s atmosphere was festive as various orchestra members and concert attendees dressed in costumes while the Milton Honors Art Society offered free face painting to anyone wanting to enhance their look!

Under the direction of new orchestra director Sergio Rodriguez, the Concert Orchestra started the evening with the snappy tunes of the Addams Family. The Sinfonia Orchestra followed with haunting melodies such as the Curse of the Rosin Eating Zombies with blood-curdling screams interspersed throughout the song. The intermission had complimentary Halloween-themed refreshments enjoyed by all! The Mastery Chamber Orchestra closed the evening with spook-tacular tunes, concluding with a standing of ovation following the performance of The Phantom of the Opera, starring four amazing Milton High School vocalists: Harrison Lewis, Andrew McDonald, Emily Salmond and Jenna Smith.
