Milton To Host Annual Memorial Day Ceremony

A ceremony honoring those local men and women who have bravely served their country.

From The City of Milton: On Monday, May 28, the City of Milton, along with Mayor Joe Lockwood and members of the Milton City Council, will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony.

When: Monday, May 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where: Freedom Park, 13200 Deerfield Parkway, Milton, GA 30004.

Who: The City of Milton, the Milton Police Department, and the Milton Fire-Rescue Department invite the entire Milton community--residents, local business owners, and area civic and religious organizations--to join the city as it honors those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country.

Details: The ceremony includes the presentation of the colors by the Milton Public Safety Color Guard, a combined honor guard from the police and fire departments, Milton bagpiper Bob Kaus, and Jordan Thorne, winner of the recent Milton's Got Talent competition, will sing the National Anthem and God Bless America. We'll hear from keynote speakers Nicholas "Nick" Snider, the founder of the National Foundation of Patriotism, and the Foundation's Executive Director Patricia Stansbury, and recognize Milton's fallen veterans with an official roll call honoring their memory.
