The ceremony will conclude with a roll call of local veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Their friends and families are then invited to reflect upon the markers created to remember their legacy and placed along Deerfield Parkway and in Crabapple by Councilman Bill Lusk and the newly formed non-profit Milton Memorial Markers for Veterans.
Milton encourages its citizens to join leaders ”in remembering those who have served the cause of freedom to their last breath,” the city said in its press release.
Freedom Park is at 13200 Deerfield Parkway. For more information on this event, please contact Public Outreach Coordinator Courtney Spriggs at 678-242-2533 or courtney.spriggs@cityofmiltonga.us.
