Milton To Host Paint, Hazardous Household Chemical Collection

Pre-registration is required for those who'd like to take advantage of the March 4 event.

MILTON, GA -- Next week, the city of Milton will roll out an opportunity to properly dispose of paint and various household hazardous chemicals sitting idle around your home.

The city's event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Cambridge High School.

Saturday's event is for Milton residents only; no commercial entities will be allowed to participate.

Citizens must pre-register to take advantage of the service. Due to budget constraints, registration could close before the event date, so be sure to register early to ensure your spot.

Items that will be accepted include latex and oil-based paint, lawn and garden chemicals, cleaning products, fluorescent bulbs and batteries.

Please do not bring vehicle batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, electronics, explosives, ammunition or firearms or prescription drugs. You can contact mgg@cityofmiltonga.us for information about recycling these items.
