Milton Police to Teach Scam Prevention at Public Safety Workshop

The police department's community outreach officer will talk about credit card and identity theft scams and ways to protect yourself form personal and property crime.

Worried about crime in your neighborhood? Then attend a public safety workshop being held by Milton's Better Together on Thursday, May 30, and hosted by Milton Police Department Community Outreach Officer, Ara Baronian.

"What we're trying to do is give our neighbors a look inside the fascinating world of police work," said Wayne Boston, community builder and head of Better Together. "This is an aspect of our community people love to learn about, and we're happy to be the vehicle for that process."

Baronian said he plans on bringing residents information about the newest credit card and identity theft scams, tips and tricks to protect yourself against burglaries, and how to keep an eye out for crime in your neighborhood.

"It should be a fun and informative evening," said Baronian in a news release from the city. "Come down and learn how to be part of the solution to crime in your community."
