Man Charged With Child Pornography Possession in Milton
Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led them to Kendall L. Bowen.

MILTON, GA -- A tip from a national organization dedicating to fighting exploitation of children led Milton police to charge a local man on a dozen possession of child pornography charges.
The agency began its investigation following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and subsequently arrested Kendall L. Bowen, who was charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography.
Following the tip, a search warrant was executed May 3 at a "relatively remote residence" occupied by Bowen.

Numerous electronic devices, including a laptop in use at the time the warrant was executed, were seized and taken from the house.
In addition to the open, child pornographic images found on the laptop, a preliminary search of one USB storage device recovered from the house yielded "images of obvious child pornography," the agency added. Milton police detectives continue their review of the remaining USB images and electronic devices seized from Bowen's home.

Milton police say the investigation remains active, and they anticipate additional charges to be filed.
"The investigation is ongoing and we will update the community as new information is available," said Milton Police Chief Rich Austin. "It's through partnerships with organizations like the NCMEC that local law enforcement are better positioned to protect and serve some of our most vulnerable residents, our children."
Jail records show Bowen remains held at the Fulton County Jail.
