Milton Police Chief Named Interim City Manager
Steven Krokoff's appointment will become effective Feb. 13, as current City Manager Chris Lagerbloom's last day is Feb. 12.

Milton, GA -- The Milton City Council on Wednesday tapped its police chief to serve as interim city manager.

Steven Krokoff was unanimously approved by Council members, and his appointment will become effective Feb. 13.
The appointment comes on the heels of current City Manager Chris Lagerbloom announcing his resignation earlier this month to accept a job in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Lagerbloom’s last day is Feb. 12. Krokoff became Milton’s police chief in March 2015 following the resignation of former chief Deborah Harrell.
He previously served at the police department in Albany, New York, where he created and carried out innovative strategies to reduce crime.
Krokoff earned both his bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Albany. He’s also served on the National Executive Session on Policing and Public Safety at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
