Milton Prepares For Annual Sept. 11 Ceremony
Milton High School will host its annual event at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11 on its front lawn.

MILTON, GA -- The city of Milton and its partners are putting the final touches on the annual ceremony marking the 16th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on our nation's soil. The city's first responders will take part in Milton High School's annual 9/11 Memorial Service, which will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. on the school's front lawn.
Milton High School students Ben and Jim Reilly and their families are once again organizing this community event, which is free and open to the public.
The annual ceremony, which is sponsored by the Beta Club and the National Honor Society, provides the community with an opportunity to reflect, remember and honor the lives lost and the bravery demonstrated on that tragic day (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. "It's our honor to be a part of this special community event, remembering all those lost on this day," said Milton Fire Chief Robert Edgar. "It is forever a reminder of the incredible sacrifices made by first responders daily."
