Milton Resident Charged in Road Rage Incident

Julio Angel Martinez, 29, allegedly threatened another driver with a knife earlier this month.

Detectives with the Milton Police Department have charged a resident in a road rage incident.

According to the agency’s press release, Julio Angel Martinez, 29, was arrested Dec. 6 and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and aggressive driving.

On Dec. 2, Milton police were contacted by two people who said they were being pursued by Martinez, “who taunted and harassed them while driving.”

Martinez allegedly followed them into the parking lot of 13000 Deerfield Parkway (the location of Milton City Hall), got out of his vehicle and “threatened the male victim with a knife,” Milton police said.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect and obtain warrants for his arrest. Martinez was arrested at his home and transported to the Fulton County Jail. He was released Dec. 9 after posting a $10,000 bond.
