Milton Student Makes Threat To Middle School: Reports
The student is facing criminal charges and school disciplinary action, according to reports.

MILTON, GA — Milton's Northwestern Middle School was under enhanced security Tuesday after a student made "threats of violence," according to a school district spokeswoman. The student is facing criminal charges and disciplinary action, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported spokeswoman Donna Lowry as saying.
Principal Charles Chester sent a letter to parents, telling them that officials immediately began investigating when they became aware of the threat. "We determined the source of the comments and have been in contact with the student’s parents. Because of the nature of the disruption, the student will not be allowed on campus," the letter said.
Chester said in the letter that school officials are following district protocol. "Students and staff will not be placed in danger. The safety and security of our campus is our No. 1 priority,” the letter said, AJC reported.

Our School Resource Officer will also follow our protocol to report the incident to law enforcement.
I want to thank those that came forward to report this information to us. Your effort to assist us in providing a safe environment for our students is beyond commendable.
Please make your students aware that regardless of the intent, dangerous statements made via social media or verbally, will be taken seriously and consequences can be issued by our school and law enforcement.
