Milton Student Named to U.S. Army All-American Marching Band
Benny Ben-David will be among 125 musicians and color guard members who will perform at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January.
A Milton High School student has been chosen to join the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.
Benny Ben-David, who plays the marimba in the school's marching band, will become part of the band, which will perform during the halftime show of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
"The U.S. Army has a distinguished musical history," said Mark Davis, deputy assistant Secretary of the Army for Marketing. "It takes great skill, teamwork and dedication to be a successful band member just as it does to be an Army soldier. Only the strongest wear the Army colors, which is why we are proud to honor all of our 2014 U.S. Army All- American Band members and congratulate each of them on their selection."

The marching band features the top 125 high school senior marching musicians and color guard members, and showcases their talents during the bowl, which will air live at 1 p.m. EST on NBC on Saturday Jan. 4, 2014.
For more than 13 years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has served as the launching pad for future college and NFL players. Adrian Peterson and Andrew Luck made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans.

Eight U.S. Army All-American Bowl alumni were drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. The 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl had 40,133 fans in attendance, and was the most-watched sporting event on television over the weekend, excluding the NFL playoffs.
