Milton Swim And Dive Team Shines At 7A State Meet
The boys team took fifth place overall while the girls finished 20th in the state.
Congratulations to the Milton Swim and Dive team for an outstanding performance at the 7A GHSA State Championship Meet! The boys team took home 5th place overall with only four swimmers scoring points for the team.
Senior Raunak Khosla achieved status again as a state champion in both the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. He broke both of his school records and achieved All American swimming cuts with a time of 1:46.07 in the 200 IM and a time of 47.71 in the 100 Butterfly. Khosla has committed to taking his talents to Princeton in the fall.
Senior Jack Dubois also delivered impressive swims breaking his own school records and achieving All American swimming cuts. He placed 2nd in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:38.91 and 2nd in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:27.00. Dubois has committed to the University of Missouri's swim team in the fall.

Senior James Dailey contributed points, placing 17th in 100 Backstroke and 13th in the 100 Butterfly. Wilson Dubois, sophomore, took home 9th in the state in both his 200 and 500 Freestyle. All four boys competed together, swimming the 200 and 400 Freestyle relays, placing 7th in the 200 and 2nd in the 400 freestyle, breaking long-standing school records in both events!
The girls team also had several finalists scoring points to help them finish 20th in the state. Sydney Scalise, freshman, placed 26th in the 50 Freestyle and Nicole Lin, junior, placed 10th in the 100 Breaststroke. The 200 freestyle relay swum by Abigail Whirley, Hannah Reding, Nicole Lin, and Sydney Scalise placed 16th in the state. The 400 freestyle relay placed 16th swum by Nicole Lin, Emma Schwartz, Maddie Robertson, and Sydney Scalise.

"This is an exciting time for the Milton Swim & Dive team," said Head Coach Miriam McAlister. "The program continues to grow in size and depth; I am so proud of all of our athletes."
