Milton Waste Haulers No Longer Accepting Glass Recycling

The city is reviewing other options for residents, who in the meantime can utilize the Roswell Recycling Center for this purpose.

MILTON, GA -- Milton residents who want to recycle glass will have to utilize the Roswell Recycling Center to accomplish that task.

That's because waste haulers in the city of Milton are no longer offering curb-side glass recycling options, the city said.

The change is not unusual, the city notes. Many communities are "dealing with" changes in glass recycling options.

"In fact, these changes are being experienced across the country as materials recycling facilities re-evaluate their ability and desire to recycle glass with many citing damage by broken glass to other recyclable items and to equipment and machinery," the city said.

In the meantime, Milton residents can take their glass to the Roswell Recycling Center at 11570 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009. A complete list of what can be recycled is available here.
