MLK Day 2018: What’s Open, Closed In North Fulton
Federal, state, county and city government offices, the post office, schools and others will have the day off on Monday

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, GA — All local, state and federal government offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Here's a rundown of what will be closed throughout the county:
- All Fulton County government offices, except law enforcement and others required for citizen comfort and safety, will be closed Jan. 15. County offices will resume normal operations on Tuesday.
- The Fulton County School System will also be on holiday for Jan. 15. Classes will resume Jan. 16.
- Atlanta Fulton Public Library System branches will be closed Monday, Jan. 15. They will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 16.
- Georgia state offices, including driver's services, will be closed Jan. 15.
- U.S. Postal Service post offices and mail delivery will not operate Jan. 15.
- If you rely on MARTA for transportation, you should check out the authority's modified holiday schedule for MLK Day.
- City offices, including Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell and Sandy Springs, will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday.
- Yard waste collection in Roswell and Alpharetta will not be impacted for Monday customers. Johns Creek, Milton and Sandy Springs residents should check with their residential waste removal providers for their respective schedules.
