Model Robbed At Gunpoint After Man Befriends Him

The following information was obtained from an incident report released by the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Alpharetta police detectives are investigating the robbery of a model who was held at gunpoint by several men near a small subdivision.

Officers were dispatched to the Family Christian Book Store on North Point Parkway around 10 a.m. Jan. 30 and met with the victim, who told police he was in Alpharetta from Boston due to him working on a casting call with his modeling agency.

The 26-year-old Boston resident told police he was staying at a nearby hotel and went out for a walk when he ran into a man identifying himself as "Dutch."

Dutch is described as a black male about 6 foot, 2 inches tall with a slim build. The pair began talking, and he invited Dutch back to his hotel room to chat some more.

After about an hour, the two left to meet up with some friends of Dutch. The victim said they left the hotel, and "he followed Dutch through the side parks, wooded areas and small neighborhoods for about 45 minutes."

At that moment, the man told police he was attacked from behind by five men. The only description he could provide to police was that the suspects were all black men between 19 and 24 years of age.

The smallest of the men, the victim told police, held a black pistol to his head and told him to get down on his knees. The rest of the men rummaged through his pockets, and took his cell phone, iPod and wallet containing his driver's license, credit card, debit card and $120 in cash.

"He said they threw his keys on the grass and left on foot in an unknown direction," the incident report states. "He said he and Dutch then walked to the first thing they saw, which was a McDonald's."

Feeling uneasy and believing that Dutch may have set him up, the victim went to a nearby convenience store where he was able to get a cab to take him back to his hotel room.

The victim was not injured in the incident. Alpharetta police spokesperson George Gordon said the investigation remains active, and no suspects have been identified.
