More Services Coming To Tax Commissioner's Alpharetta Office

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The newly opened Fulton County Tax Commissioner's Office in Alpharetta could soon have another neighbor providing essential services to motorists.
The Georgia Department of Driver Services has announced plans to lease first-floor space at the office at 11575 Maxwell Road, said District 2 County Commissioner Ellis.
Ellis, along with other Fulton County stakeholders and elected officials, celebrated the grand opening of the Tax Commissioner's Office during a ribbon cutting and open house held Feb. 24.

DDS will be providing its full range of services from their 7,859-square-feet of leased area at the Maxwell Road building, the commissioner stated.
The new office at 11575 Maxwell Road, which moved from its Royal Drive space, occupies 7,000 square feet of space on the first floor of the Fulton County-owned Water Resources Operations Center.

“We are pleased to continue to improve the customer service experience for our residents,” said Ellis, who represents the area. “This new facility will utilize the most up-to-date technologies resulting in significant improvements in efficiency and impact.”
You can also expect ample parking, 12 tellers, seating capacity of 100 and a children’s entertainment area at the office.
The Tax Commissioner is responsible for property tax collection for the Fulton County government, Fulton
County Schools System and Atlanta Public Schools. The office is also responsible for collecting property taxes for the state as well as the cities in the county.
Motor vehicle ad valorem taxes, tag and title fees and transfer fees are also by the Fulton County Tax Commissioner’s Office.
