The Alpharetta Community Chorus, a 501(c)(3) organization, will begin its 3rd season September 1, 2015. The group offers an open invitation to local singers to join - no auditions necessary! Registration for new members will be at 6:30 PM prior to the first rehearsal.
Artistic directors, Robin and Thomas Yackley lead the group in a variety of repertoire. This season, there are concerts scheduled on October 18, 2015, December 13, 2015, and May 11, 2016, plus a few other community outreach programs. The Yackleys, with their combined 65 years of directing choirs of all ages, continue to guide and shape music making in Alpharetta.
The group rehearses Tuesday evenings at 7 PM in the choir room of the Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, 180 Academy Street. Those wanting to learn more about reading music can attend pre-rehearsal lessons at 6:30 PM each week. All that is required of membership is a love of singing and a willingness to attend rehearsals.
