Motorist Arrested on Charge He Backed Into Car, Then its Driver

Motorist First Backs into Car, Then Into Woman
A woman pumping gas at the on Windward Parkway watched another vehicle back into her car and then got hit herself when the driver backed up again as she took a photo of its license plate.
Five days later, on Jan. 25, Alpharetta police arrested Justin Tyler Ivy, 18, on charges of felonious aggravated assault and hit and run. He was released on Jan. 27 from Fulton County Jail on $25,000 bond.

The victim said she was pumping gas on Jan. 20 at 11:23 p.m. when a silver Lexus ES300 backed up from another parking space into her car. Its driver pulled back into the parking space, and a passenger got out and went into the store. She said she walked to the back of the Lexus to take a photo of it, and yelled at the driver that he hit her car. But once the passenger got back into the car, the driver backed up again, knocking her down.
The driver and a passenger got out of the car and she said they started yelling at her. Before giving her any insurance information, the driver drove off.

Two witnesses and a gas station security camera video showed the incident as the victim described it, though there was no audio.
Suspect Found with Stolen Credit Cards, Driver's Licenses
An Alpharetta police officer in an unmarked car saw another vehicle acting in a suspicious manner on property off Mansell Road on Jan. 25 at 12:44 p.m., so he called for a patrol car. That call resulted in the arrest of a suspect who police say had several stolen credit cards, driver's licenses and tools used to break into autos.
The officer called one of the victims, who told him her driver's license had been stolen that morning in Roswell. A Roswell police officer expected to investigate the suspect in connection with an entering auto case.
Another victim whose books and a computer jump drive were found in the suspect's car was called. She didn't even know the items were missing, and later picked them up from the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.
The incident report states the suspect has an extensive history of entering auto and theft by receiving.
He was charged with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, possession of tolls for commission of a crime and one count of loitering or prowling.
Teller Spots Holes in Woman's Identity, Resulting in Forgery Arrest
A 22-year-old woman who Alpharetta police say attempted to cash a fraudulent check remains in Fulton County Jail on Feb. 2 in lieu of $22,500 bond.
A teller at PNC Bank on Windward Parkway called police on Jan. 25 when the woman in the drive through couldn't supply the last four digits of the Social Security number associated with the account or the email on file.
The woman claimed three other people in another car brought her to Georgia to cash a fake check for $1,800, though she was unsure who they were or where they were staying.
A driver's license for the person who the check was made out to was found in the suspect's vehicle and a PNC debit card. Both were reported stolen in West Palm Beach, FL, on July 12, 2011.
Cecilie Lorraine Murry, 22, was charged with forgery and two counts of theft by receiving stolen property.
Teen Ran Away From Home, Sent Back with Criminal Charges
A 15-year-old Roswell youth was arrested on Jan. 23 at 1:16 a.m. after an Alpharetta police officer's U-turn prompted him to run into the woods south of North Point Parkway and North Point Circle near .
The juvenile was spotted hiding behind a tree in the woods. He told the officer he had a fight with his mother hours earlier and did not want to go home. A check of his name returned a missing child hit out of Roswell, and he was arrested for violation of curfew.
A search uncovered four Starbucks gift cards, super glue, two AT&T employee ID badges, $100 in cash, some keys a gift card from Cellaris and a set of ear buds.
The juvenile first told the officer he found the items at a smoking area outside the mall, but later admitted taking them from kiosks inside the mall. He said he got inside through a door a mall employee left propped open.
Mall security told the officer the suspect was recorded on camera in some of the kiosks where items were stolen.
The juvenile was charged with burglary, theft by taking and theft by shoplifting. He was released into his mother's custody.
