My Morning Jacket Promises a Lively, Strong Performance in Alpharetta

Eleven more concerts are scheduled at in Alpharetta this year, with the final concert of the season now scheduled on Oct. 15.

On Saturday, Aug. 20, My Morning Jacket will take the stage at Verizon, bringing its brand of American rock to life. The band is known for its live performances. Its sixth studio album, Circuital, was recorded almost entirely live to capture that spirit.

Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, they've gone from performing at Madison Square Garden to being nominated for a Grammy with their last album Evil Urges.

The charity benefiting from the show is Alternate ROOTS, a regional arts service organization working as a champion of activist artists.
