New Roundabout Opens On Birmingham Highway In Milton
The roundabout is located at Heritage Walk, and is part of a project to alleviate congestion in the Crabapple Crossroads area.

MILTON, GA — Motorists who travel through Crabapple are getting used to a new traffic pattern that went into effect June 28. The Georgia Department of Transportation's Crabapple project on Birmingham Highway at Heritage Walk includes the installation of a roundabout at the intersection, the city of Milton said.
Residents were reminded of the traffic pattern change with digital message boards approaching the intersection. Milton notes the remaining work on the roundabout will include installing lights and sidewalks, leveling and paving.
You can also expect concrete work and clean up on Heritage Walk before it completely opens from Crabapple Road to Birmingham Highway in the next few weeks. Turn lane and sidewalk work is also underway at the Crabapple Crossroads traffic signal. The project is expected to be completed in August, the city notes.
