If you ask people to repeat what has been said, or often think others mumble, it may be time to get a hearing screen. The longer you wait, the more difficult it is to treat potential hearing concerns.

In celebration of May as Better Hearing and Speech Month, Northside Hospital’s Audiology Department will offer complimentary hearing screenings to the public to determine if further and complete hearing evaluation is needed.

Free screenings will be offered Wednesday, May 20 at two Northside Hospital locations:

Northside Hospital – Sandy Springs Campus
993-D Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 250
Atlanta, GA 30342
Time: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus
3400 Old Milton Parkway, Building C, Suite 460
Alpharetta, GA 30005
Time: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Each hearing screening takes about 15 minutes and is performed by licensed audiologists following guidelines of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Each ear is independently tested throughout the frequency range important for listening to speech (500-4000 Hz). Anyone — adults and children age 5 and older — is welcome to participate.
