Obituary: Francis "Frank" Michael Hartman, 78

Mr. Hartman was treasure of the McCaddin McQuirk Foundation that funds Catholic education in Eastern European and Latin American countries.

Mr. Francis (Frank) Michael Hartman, 78, of Alpharetta, died on Sept. 6, 2013.

Born in Jersey City, NY on Sept. 17, 1934, to Michael A. and Germaine Hartman, he graduated from Columbia University and was employed for the Crane Company, where he traveled the world working as a CPA. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mary Gill Hartman and his sisters, Dorothy and Eleanor.

He is survived by his fiancée Jeanie Jones and her family. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta where he served as the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and chairman of the finance council.

He was treasure of the McCaddin McQuirk Foundation that funds Catholic education in Eastern European and Latin American countries. A Mass of Christian Burial was held celebrated on Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and entombment followed at Green Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to North Fulton Community Charities, 11270 Elkins Road in Roswell.
