That's because crews will begin paving the highway on April 24, a project the city estimates will take just over one month. The resurfacing will be done between S.R. 9/Main Street and Alpharetta's border with Johns Creek.
All work will be performed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., and motorists should anticipate lane closures each evening and expect traffic delays.

Contractors with the Georgia Department of Transportation will perform the work to "minimize disruption to traffic flow,” said Alpharetta Public Works Director Peter Sewczwicz.
“While there are some neighborhoods along Old Milton Parkway, the impacts to them will be minimal," Sewczwicz added.
Sewczwicz noted crews will begin by repairing damaged road sections and will then come back to lay a topcoat of asphalt along the entire road. As a result, the road may appear “patchy” until the entire project is completed.
