Pedestrian Critical After Being Struck by Car in Alpharetta

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Rucker Road early Saturday morning, sending the victim to the hospital with critical injuries.

George Gordon, spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, said officers responded to an accident with injuries call at 6:46 a.m. The accident on Rucker Road near North Hickory Trace involved a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, he said. The pedestrian was transported to North Fulton hospital with critical injuries.

Gordon said this accident is under investigation.
