'Pervasive' Rain Forces Cancellation of Christmas in Crabapple Outdoor Events
Santa Claus will now be available for photos Saturday afternoon at an indoor location at the events co-sponsored with the city of Milton.

With the forecast calling for rain to move into the Alpharetta and Milton area tonight and tomorrow, organizers of Christmas in Crabapple have been forced to reconfigure its celebration.
“With the pervasive rain coming tomorrow, we sadly must cancel the outdoor activities planned for the Christmas in Crabapple festival tomorrow,” the Crabapple Community Association said Friday on its Facebook page.
Santa Claus will still make a visit to Crabapple, but residents will be allowed to take photos with the Jolly Old Elf at an indoor location. Santa will be available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Blencoe & Co. Photographic Arts studio, which is at 12220 Birmingham Highway Suite 80 in Milton.

Olaf, the much beloved snowman from the movie “Frozen,” will also be in attendance and plans to hand out prizes for the kids. The city of Milton will also hand out a special gift starting at 2 p.m. while supplies last.
As a reminder, Santa is open to the public for visiting. Families will be invited in one at a time for a quick visit with Santa. If you’d like a professional photo with Santa, the cost is $20, which can be paid in cash or card at the door and will get a high-resolution digital negative of your choice after the event.
