“We treat patients who can’t wait until the next day for treatment but are not necessarily severe enough to be seen in the emergency room,” Lee Resnick, M.D., chief medical officer of Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet, said. “We treat anything from sprained ankles and fractures to sore throats, eye and ear infections, cuts and falls.”
Operated by WellStreet, a national urgent and family healthcare provider that began serving Atlanta communities in 2012, Piedmont Urgent Care now has 10 locations throughout metro Atlanta in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, North Druid Hills, Alpharetta, Roswell, Austell and Virginia-Highland.
“People often go to the emergency room for treatment of non-emergent issues not realizing there are faster and less expensive options like Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet available,” Greg Hurst, chief operating officer of Piedmont Healthcare, said. “Our goal is to make it easier for patients to take charge of their health by offering quick and convenient access to care.”
