Pike Nurseries To Open Store In Milton
Originally set to open this spring, the store on Bethany Bend Road will now open in the fall of 2018.

MILTON, GA — Since opening the doors of its first store in 1958, Pike Nurseries has grown to be Atlanta’s oldest garden chain and the nation’s largest independent garden retailer. Now with 18 locations in Atlanta and Charlotte area markets, Pike Nurseries has become the Southeast’s go-to destination to help gardeners learn how to play in the dirt.
The company is seeking to bolster its presence in North Fulton County by opening a store in Milton. Originally slated to open in the spring of this year, the location at 3155 Bethany Bend Road will now open in the fall "due to construction delays caused by above-average rainfall," Pike Nurseries said.
The Milton store will be the first Pike Nursery location to open in metro Atlanta since 2007. Mike Kunce, CEO and chairman of the board for Pike Nurseries, said while some retail concepts face ongoing, stiff competition from online businesses, his company continues to see "enthusiastic demand" for new brick-and-mortar locations.
