Police Capture Alpharetta Bank Robbery Suspect
BREAKING: the man walked into SunTrust Bank on Old Milton Parkway and took cash from the branch as well as a customer, police said.
ALPHARETTA, GA -- A man who walked into a SunTrust Bank and robbed the establishment Tuesday morning was quickly captured by Alpharetta police patrolling the area.
The man entered the bank around at 4105 Old Milton Parkway around 9;30 a.m. Aug. 15 and demanded money, said Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesperson George Gordon.

However, officers who were conducting patrols in the area were able to capture the male, identified as 33-year-old Deon Dorian Watkins, on foot along a side street off Old Milton Parkway, Gordon said.

The department said on its Facebook page that the suspect was captured within 10 minutes of trying to make his escape.
"He will now get a new place to stay courtesy of Alpharetta DPS," the agency added. The suspect's identity has not been released at this time. Return to Patch for updates.
