Police Look For Man Accused Of Going Through Alpharetta Mailboxes

Alpharetta police say at least one incident occurred March 6 along Pine Grove Drive.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta police are looking for a man accused of riding around in a vehicle and going through mailboxes in a neighborhood located off North Main Street. On Monday, March 6, detectives met with a Pine Grove Drive resident who said that around 10:30 a.m., she saw a silver Chevrolet passenger vehicle pull up to her neighbor's mailbox and remove its contents.

"She said she walked outside to take pictures of the vehicle but it took off very quickly out of the neighborhood," police spokesperson Officer Jason Muenzer said.

Alpharetta police investigators reached out to the neighbor, who said she put mail that didn't belong to her back into the mailbox for the postal worker to retrieve. She notes she often gets mail that doesn't belong to her, and writes 'Return To Sender' on the items and places them back in the mailbox (For more news like this, find your local Patch here.
