Alpharetta Police are searching for a driver who possibly shot at a motorcyclist during a road rage incident near Avalon.
ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta Police are looking for a man they saw shot at a motorcyclist while he was driving away near Avalon.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist was turning into Avalon at Second Avenue off Old Milton Parkway, the AJC reported.
"He was cut off by another vehicle, a BMW, that blew through two stop signs and almost hit our victim,” Alpharetta police spokesman Sgt. Howard Miller told Channel 2 Action News.

When the motorcyclist drove up to the car to see what was happening, Miller told the station that's when the situation turned violent.
"When he got up to the window, the driver of the BMW pulled out what appeared to be a handgun, held it up and yelled what appeared to be profanities at our victim,” Miller told Channel 2.

As the motorcyclist left, he reportedly heard a pop, which Miller told the station could have been a gun shot.
However, officers did not find a shell casing. Miller told the station that officers looked at video footage of Avalon and saw parts of the interaction between the motorcycle and the BMW.
“Had there been gunfire and it didn't hit our victim, what goes up must come down, it could have hit someone else at the Avalon or someone else in our city,” Miller said to the station.
