MILTON, GA — Well-run elections are vital in any democracy. Poll workers are critical in making those happen – which is why the City of Milton is working with Fulton County to get the word out ahead of this year’s elections.

Fulton County Government will host a poll worker recruitment fair between 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at Milton City Hall at 2006 Heritage Walk. At any point during that time, people can drop by to learn about the importance of poll workers, how the job will work, including times and requirements.

The 2022 elections in Milton – as well as every other city in the county – will be run by the Fulton County government. The first race is a general primary on May 24, while the last could be, if required, run-off elections on Dec. 6. Poll workers will be needed throughout this process, which is why the City of Milton and other area cities into the summer may assist the county in hosting poll worker recruitment fair like the March 16 one at City Hall.
