Register Now: Hazardous Waste Collection In Milton

MILTON, GA — Milton residents will have a chance to safely dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Open only to Milton residents (not businesses), the event aims to provide citizens with a safe way to get rid of paints, batteries, lawn and garden chemicals and more. It's free of charge.

Accepted items are:

• Latex paints in original containers (limit 10 gallons)
• Oil-based paints, stains, varnishes in original containers (limit 10 gallons)
• Aerosol Paints/Spray Cans
• Flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene, lighters)
• Automotive liquids (transmission fluid, brake fluids but NO MOTOR OIL )
• Gardening chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers) in original containers
• Pool chemicals in original containers
• Household cleaning products in original containers
• Flourescent bulbs and tubes
• Items Containing Mercury
• Household Batteries
