Registration Now Open For Youth Sports Programs
Starting this month, the Alpharetta Department of Recreation and Parks will offer Tiny Tykes, SporTykes and other instructional sports.

-Tiny Tykes (age 2): Teaches basic coordination skills associated with soccer, t-ball, basketball, and football in a fun and colorful atmosphere. Weekly 30-minute class, with six-week session starting week of Aug. 24.
-SporTykes I/II (age 3-4): Level I designed to introduce children to very basic,fundamental skills needed to play soccer, t-ball, football, or basketball. Level II focuses on game play and building upon skills learned in prior level. Weekly 45-minute class, with six-week session also starts the week of Aug. 24.

-Instructional sports: Classes focus on teaching specific skills in each sport, all in a friendly, fun environment! Emphasis is placed on individual abilities and game aspects of the sport. Each class meets weekly for 1-hour and is co-ed (unless noted). Six-week session starting week of Aug. 17, and includes:
- Flag football (age 5-8), basketball (age 4-7 and age 8-14), soccer (age 4-7), baseball (age 4-7)
- New: girls basketball (age 8-14), high school basketball (age 14-18), lacrosse (age 5-8), basketball for home schoolers (age 8-14 and 14-18) and Happy Hearts in Basketball (for children with mild disabilities, age 4-8)
