Registration For Spring, Summer Classes and Camps Right Around the Corner
The Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department will have a slew of recreation program activities available for children, teen and adults.

While winter will most likely stick around for the next several weeks, the city of Alpharetta is encouraging residents to start planning for their spring and summer recreation adventures.
Residents can choose from a multitude of program opportunities for the whole family, offered by the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department.

Learn a new skill, create a work of art, exert some energy, or simply join your friends in exploration of fun.

Some of the highlights include:
- Youth activities include varied spring/summer/specialty camps, art enrichment and camera fun, sportykes and instructional sports, gymnastics, dance, Lil’ Vibe fun fitness, tennis, karate, swim team and swim lessons.
- Teens can attend boot camp for babysittters, explore publishing in the digital age, develop an artwork portfolio, participate in sports programs, or develop leadership skills as a summer camp Counselor in Training (CIT).
- For adults of all ages, Alpharetta Recreation and Parks offers opportunities to learn a new language, express creativity through photography or art enrichment, play ball or learn to play tennis, tone the body through karate, dance or fun fitness classes, engage in the latest craze of pickleball, or even climb a tree! Here’s how residents can register for these activities:
- Priority registration begins Jan. 28 for all Alpharetta residents and Milton residents who participated in the same recreation program during the prior season/session. During priority registration, city of Alpharetta residents may register online, in person, by fax, or by emailing a completed Activity Registration Form to recreation@alpharetta.ga.us. However, due to limitations with the online computer registration software, returning city of Milton residents must register in person at any ARPD facility during business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
- City of Milton registration begins Feb. 4, and Milton residents are eligible to register in person at any ARPD facility during regular business hours. All Alpharetta residents are still eligible to register online, in person, by fax, or email during the city of Milton’s registration period.
- Open registration begins Feb. 11, when anyone interested in participating in ARPD programs may register online, in person, by fax, or by email.
