Report Ranks Alpharetta 4th Best Place In Georgia

Movoto Real Estate reviewed 81 cities with populations over 10,000 by reviewing amenities, quality of life, crime, weather, tax rates, unemployment and commute time.

The company that ranked Alpharetta as the 11th most affordable place to live has released a study that shows the city is the fourth best place in Georgia.

Movoto Real Estate, a real estate research blog, ranked the city based on total amenities, quality of life, crime, weather, tax rates, unemployment and commute time.

The company looked at cities with population over 10,000, which left them with 81 cities in Georgia to review. The company reviewed the aforementioned categories from U.S. Census Bureau data.

The Atlanta suburb is among the best "mostly thanks to its excellent overall quality of life." The report indicates the city has a median household income of $90,450 and a median home and rent price of $330,700 and $1,037, respectively.

"Apart from a high income, this city has much that’s desirable," the report states. "For example, not only did Alpharetta rank as one of the best in our analysis for its quantity of amenities, but it also has some truly quality amenities to offer; places like Sweet Apple Donut & Coffee, the Jerusalem Bakery, and the Alpine Bakery and Trattoria."
