Sen. Brandon Beach Wins Unsung Hero Award
The Atlanta Regional Commission recognized the state senator for his work in creating The ATL, the new transit authority for metro Atlanta.

ALPHARETTA, GA — State Senator Brandon Beach has been recognized by the Atlanta Regional Commission with the organization's Unsung Hero Award.
Beach, the executive director of the North Fulton Community Improvement district, was honored with the award at the ARC's State of the Region Breakfast held Nov. 3. He was recognized alongside State Rep. Kevin Tanner for their work in passing House Bill 930, which created The ATL, metro Atlanta's new transit authority.
“It is an honor to accept this award from an organization that does so much to focus the region’s leadership on critical issues,” said Beach. “I want to thank all of the people who worked alongside me in making the creation of HB930 possible.”

The award recognizes an individual who works quietly and tirelessly behind the scenes in a way that supports high quality of life for all residents, while balancing social, economic and environmental needs in their community.
“It was no surprise to us that Brandon was the recipient of this award,” said Moses Brown, North Fulton CID vice-chairman of the board. “He has an unmatched passion for transportation and a drive to move our region forward with projects that best serve our communities.”
