'Sexiest Vegan Next Door' Contest Features Alpharetta Woman

ALPHARETTA, GA — PETA's 2019 Sexiest Vegan Next Door 20 finalists were recently named, and an Alpharetta woman made the cut.

Tabatha, otherwise known as “The Sensible Vegan” online, is a marketing director, writer, blogger and holistic nutritionist. She told PETA she went vegan to help alleviate debilitating digestive issues and to prevent animal suffering after watching "Vegucated."

"Being a mother has driven her to advocate against dairy farms, which rip babies away from their mothers so that their milk can be sold for human consumption," she told PETA, and she’ll soon be releasing a children’s book about a dairy farm that goes vegan.

In addition to offering personalized vegan nutrition coaching online, she runs a vegan snack box company with the help of her daughter and husband.

She is one of two Georgians who are finalists, including Kesha from McDonough.

The contest will be broken down into two rounds: the entry round and the finalist round, during which finalists chosen by a PETA panel will be voted on by the public to help PETA determine the winners.

PETA considered two factors in choosing the finalists:

• Enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by responses to the entry questionnaire
• PETA’s assessment of the quality of the image submitted

PETA will consider four factors in choosing the winners:

• The total number of votes received
• Enthusiasm to win the title as demonstrated by promotion of their entry via social media
• Enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by responses to the entry questionnaire
• PETA’s assessment of the quality of the image submitted

Voting is now open to the public to help PETA determine who it should select as the winners, and ends at noon on May 13. Then on May 20, two winners will be announced.

The winners will each receive a free vacation to Maui, Hawaii, including eight days and seven nights of accommodations for up to four (the maximum capacity of a one-bedroom condominium) at a resort, and round trip coach airfare for two from anywhere in the U.S. The trip is provided by Humane Travel, the source for compassionate travel needs.

Other Contest Guidelines:

• Only residents of the United States are eligible.
• All entrants must be at least 22-years -old.
• The contest is not open to finalists or winners of previous Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50, Sexiest Vegan Over 50, Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door, Sexiest Vegan Next Door, Cutest Vegan Alive, or Cutest Vegetarian Alive contests run by PETA.
• Pictures must be tasteful, and each entrant must be vegan.
• High-resolution photos are required.
• Entrants should not be celebrities.
