Milton police have interviewed two persons of interest in the investigation, which remains active.

MILTON, GA — The Milton Police Department is investigating a report that shots were fired at a vehicle early Saturday. Officers responded to a call shortly before 1 a.m. June 30 of gunfire striking a vehicle on Hopewell Road south of Birmingham Road.

Officers discovered a vehicle was traveling south on Hopewell Road when it was hit by gunfire "from an undetermined source," said Capt. Charles Barstow with the Milton Police Department.

"Although the victims could not confirm the source of the gunfire, a white SUV was observed leaving the scene at a high rate of speed just after the shots were fired," he added.
