Shred Documents, Recycle Electronics On Saturday In Alpharetta
You can drop off these items from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 14 in the parking lot of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Alpharetta residents who need to get rid of old electronics or discard sensitive documents containing confidential information can do so this weekend. A free document shredding and electronics recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 14.
The city-sponsored events will be held in the parking lot of Alpharetta Department of Public Safety at 2565 Old Milton Parkway. For the document shredding, there is a five-box limit per resident, and the event will end sharply at noon -- or earlier if the truck is full.
1st Secure Shredding, Alpharetta's partner on the shredding, will offer residents and small businesses the opportunity to safely discard confidential documents using a mobile, on-site shredding truck (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. If you will need more than five boxes, contact Sandy Lehman with 1st Secure Shredding to make other arrangements at (678) 773-9306.
The Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission is requesting that participants enhance this act of giving back by bringing one can of food per box brought for shredding. All collected food items will be dispersed to neighbors through the North Fulton Community Charities Food Bank.
